GOALS

Some time ago, Chico and I set out with goals in mind and in the last 3 years we worked hard to achieve those goals. On Friday, May 29th at O.G.Bierstadt's club trial we accomplished one of our goals and earned our points to qualify for the 2009 GSD Nationals. The next step is the regional competition in Minnesota in September followed by the Nationals in November.

I believe if you set goals in life and work hard to achieve those goals, you can look back and smile because it was all worth it and you can feel good about what you accomplished.

Life isn't about who can be better than the next person but rather what you, yourself can do. It's about how far you can push yourself to accomplish your goals and then it's being proud of what you did.

You and I

We started 2 1/2 years ago and I thought you were another dog that was going to pass threw my hands to a police department. Much to my surprise it was the begining of something special. We have shared countless hours and days training and trying to figure out what the other was thinking. It took over a year and a half before you really trusted me. I got so frustrated all the times you blew me off in training and then there were the trials, that was something else, embarrassing is what it was.

But now we are a team, you have finally reached the point of maturity and accepted me for who I am and I accepted you for who you are. You and I are a team, I'll watch out for you and I know you will watch out for me.....

Now we have one more task to accomplish........your son, that is like you all over again. I have faith that he will turn out just like you and I wouldn't have it any other way....

ABOUT STEINIG TAL KENNEL

Larry Filo is the founder of STEINIG TAL KENNEL and has been actively running his kennel for 30 years. In 1978 he built a breeding program after starting training dogs in the sport of Schutzhund and in 1982 he started training police dogs..

Steinig Tal Kennel does a large percentage of Wisconsins k9s. We are affiliated with FOX VALLEY TECH IN APPLETON. Out of our breeding stock we have multiple working k9s. We also train for search and rescue and currently have 1 female who is suitable for the work. We are one of the few kennels that breed, raise and train our own dogs, we have a large breeding program that consists of 3 V, schH 3, KKL 1 studs and 3 V schH 3, KKL 1 females , 2 V schH 1, KKL 1 females and 1 schH1 female( soon to get her KKL ). Over half of our puppies go to working homes whether they are service dogs or sport dogs. We have a huge success with the dogs we have raised.
